So, I know at some point I will have to read this book for school so I thought it would probably be smart to just read it now so that I have the gist of it when it comes time to read it for school.
Well let me tell you I am not looking forward to reading this book for school, it was so boring I actually had to have a reward system for my self just so I would finish it.
Now my reward system is not like a little kids, its if I finish a chapter I get to read a chapter of a book I truly want to read.
It was like pulling teeth or watching paint dry this book, both of which I would rather have done then read it!
I know this book is suppose to be a literary classic but I think people need to raise their standards because it was horrible!

Summer reads
So, here's the deal during school I don't have all that much time to read books just because I want to and even if I do I generally don't have time to post on here about them so it's hard to keep this up to date. But here's what I've been reading this summer:
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel
House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
Gossip Girl the Carlyles: You just can't get enough by Cecily von Ziegesar
Vanity Fair by William M. Thackeray
Reviews to follow :)

Construction
Hey everybody,
as you may have noticed there's some changes here note above the gorgeous header ^^^.
my friend made that for me and I am very grateful because it's gorgeous. So, I'm going through some site renovations at the moment and I might even be getting a new site soon but don't worry I'll make a link so you will all know where to find me because I don't want to loose my loyal readers :).
Also you may have noticed the gadget at the bottom vvv. If not it is called followers so you can just scroll all the way down to the bottom, click the little blue words that say, "follow this blog" and then you can know every time I make a new post or some new changes and keep up with everything going on.
And comments are always appreciated :)
And I will be filling you in on some more great books just as soon as I finish Angels and Demons. :)

Updates
Hey guys!
So today because of this blog I was asked to do an interview for www.whohub.com which is really exciting for me. I'm still doing some research and considering it, so I'm not quite sure yet if I'll do it but if I do I promise to inform all of you and give you a link to the interview.
Speaking of links feel free to follow me on twitter http://twitter.com/lilyvalley329
It's under lilyvalley329 because lily of the valley is my favourite flower and I tend to use that as my username for stuff at some point I might make a new one that's Book Girl. I'll keep you posted. And remember I'm always open to answer questions :)

Dan Brown
So, I'm slightly behing but I have been a little busy and sadly neglecting this. Anyways, I just finished the Da Vinci Code by the amazing Dan Brown. I absolutely loved it because I love mystery and intrigue books. This one was fantastic and I simply couldn't put it down and as my friend put it, "I must infect the masses". Now, I'm reading Angels and Demons (yes I know you're suppose to read them the other way around but I thought I'd do it this way).
I highly recommend you read these books, so go out and read. That's all for now, I'll check back in soon.

Pen Pals
I have two very nice pen pals, one in Germany and one in Wisconsin and it's nice because I get to communicate with people from different countries and be more aware of my world.
Now, when trading books with my friend she lent me a book called Feeling Sorry for Celia. An english teacher tries to bridge the gap between two schools by starting up a pen pal project. Elizabeth's best friend Celia is always running away so she really needs a friend and she gets Christine a sweet girl, who doesn't mind private school girls. Elizabeth goes on a trip with her crush to rescue Celia and her crush ends up falling for Celia. Celia always needs an adventure and she always finds some way to get one. Leaving Elizabeth heartbroken and without a best friend.
She also lent me the second book in the series Year of the Secret Assignments, which is not about the same characters but is about the pen pal program once again. This time three best friends; Lydia, Emily, and Cassie write to three boys at the other school. The friendships are all put through a lot and the girls try to find out who they really are, but it is definitely a rocky road.
Both books are by Jaclyn Moriarty.

Trading
So, I've read all of my books and so has one of my friends thought we thought why not trade? So, I thought I should pass on some advice for you avid readers: when out of books to read you don't always have to buy new ones and in bad economic times like this I suggest these to save money on books:
-trade books with a friend
-borrow from a friend
-if you're in school, teachers always have good books check out your english classroom
-remember to tryout the always loyal library even go to more than one to see what you can find
If all else fails:
go to a secondhand store, the story is the same and I ensure you the books are fine and MUCH cheaper
